Join the AI4TRUST Pilot: Help Us Improve Europe’s AI Against Disinformation

Be part of a European effort to build trustworthy AI tools for journalists, fact-checkers, researchers, and policy professionals.

The AI4TRUST project is inviting professionals across Europe to take part in the pilot testing of the AI4TRUST Platform MVP– a prototype platform that integrates advanced artificial intelligence with human expertise to support the detection and understanding of disinformation.

By joining the pilot, participants will  help us test and improve the platform’s tools, ensuring they are functional, transparent, and adapted to the real needs of the information ecosystem.

Why your participation matters.

AI4TRUST is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Programme and brings together media organisations, research institutions, and technology partners from across Europe.

Its goal is to develop ethical and reliable AI tools that enhance the work of journalists, fact-checkers, and policymakers working to strengthen public trust in information.

The platform is still in development. That’s why your feedback as a tester is essential: you will help us understand what works, what needs improvement, and how AI can truly become a trustworthy ally in the fight against disinformation.

Who can participate?

We are looking for professionals in three main groups:

  • Journalists:to test tools that support content verification and media monitoring.
  • Fact-checkers:to evaluate the full range of tools for content analysis and verification workflows.
  • Policy makers and researchers:to explore tools that help identify trends, domains, and signals of disinformation.

Testing time will vary depending on the participant’s profile (between 1 and 3.5 hours).

What participation involves

Participants will:

  1. Register through the form before November 12th.
  2. Receive instructions and access to the AI4TRUST Platform MVP.
  3. Test specific tools according to their professional background.
  4. Share feedback through an online questionnaire and, if selected, join focus groups or workshops to discuss their experience.

Your insights will directly contribute to refining the platform’s usability, functionality, and impact.

Join the Pilot

Fill out the registration form to become part of the AI4TRUST pilot testing phase.

By joining, you will contribute to a collective European effort to make AI atrustworthy, transparent, and ethically in the fight against disinformation.

Mapping the Threat Landscape of Disinformation: Challenges and Priorities for 2026”,

22 January 2026 (11:00–12:30 CET)

HATEDEMICS and NOTIONES join forces to map Europe’s disinformation threats Across Europe.

Public authorities, civil society and media professionals are dealing with an increasingly complex mix of online hate speech, conspiracy theories and coordinated disinformation campaigns.

The EU-funded project HATEDEMICS is responding to this challenge by developing AI-based technologies and practical resources that help NGOs, fact-checkers, public authorities and young activists to detect and counter harmful narratives before they escalate.

By combining cutting-edge monitoring tools with training and awareness-raising, HATEDEMICS aims to strengthen both the preventive and reactive response to online hate and disinformation, and to support more resilient, inclusive public debate.

To amplify this work, HATEDEMICS is partnering with the NOTIONES project, a pan-European network of security and intelligence practitioners that connects end-users with researchers and industry. NOTIONES focuses on understanding emerging technological trends, identifying capability gaps and informing future policy and research priorities in areas such as terrorism, hybrid threats and disinformation.

As a result of the collaboration between the two projects, they are co-organising the webinar “Mapping the Threat Landscape of Disinformation: Challenges and Priorities for 2026”, taking place on 22 January 2026 (11:00–12:30 CET).The programme will introduce the HATEDEMICS project and its tools, explore the role of fact-checking in today’s information environment, highlight grassroots responses to hate and disinformation, and provide a foresight outlook on emerging tactics and vulnerabilities in 2026.

Interested individuals are asked to confirm their attendance by sending an email to hatedemics@saher-eu.com.

Within this joint event,NOTIONES will focus specifically on the policy dimension: what gaps still exist in the current European framework for addressing mis- and disinformation, and where additional guidance, coordination or standards may be needed. Drawing on its practitioner network, NOTIONES will help translate operational needs from security and intelligence communities into concrete policy questions, complementing HATEDEMICS’ bottom-up insights from NGOs, fact-checkers and youth activists.

The collaboration showcases the strong synergies between the two projects: HATEDEMICS brings advanced AI tools, community engagement and educational approaches, while NOTIONES contributes its strategic view on technologies, threats and policy requirements. Together, they offer a unique bridge between the worlds of civil society, media and education on the one hand, and security and intelligence practitioners on the other. By joining forces, HATEDEMICS and NOTIONES increase the visibility and impact of both initiatives, avoid duplication of efforts and create a shared space where experiences, tools and policy insights can be exchanged. Above all, the partnership underlines a common aim: to help European societies better understand, anticipate and respond to disinformation and hate speech through cross-sector collaboration that is firmly rooted in fundamental rights and democratic values.
